In “Dzawinai”, Baniwa recalls an ancient time when humans had the ability to transform into other animals and animals had the ability to transform into humans. In that time, they would meet, have sexual relations, live and coexist in this geographic space of the world. It was from these relationships that the clans and the many stories of indigenous mythology were born.
