"As obras em papel produzidas durante a pandemia mostram as impregnações do corpo do artista como memória de momentos e atestam um desejo declarado: trazer vida a essas impressões. Inscrevem vivências de meditação e exercícios com o corpo. Untado com óleo, o corpo impregna seu tempo na folha de papel. A referência às antropometrias de Yves Klein de 1960 - impressões de corpos de mulheres nuas e cobertas de tinta azul sobre uma tela branca - estão presentes nesses trabalhos, mas Jarbas acrescenta a questão do tempo, e é o tempo que cria essa vibração na impressão do corpo no papel e dá essa sensação de vida."

"The works on paper produced during the pandemic show the impregnations of the artist’s body as the memory of moments, and attest to a declared desire: to bring these impressions to life. They inscribe meditation experiences and exercises with the body. Anointed with oil, the body soaks its time on the sheet of paper. These works reference Yves Klein’s anthropometries from 1960 – imprints of the bodies of naked women covered in blue paint on a white canvas –, but to that Jarbas adds the question of time, and it is time that creates this vibration in the impression of the body on the paper and gives this feeling of life."
