Show Abre Alas consiste em um trabalho composto por uma instalação com 5 itens (2 placas, 1 câmera polaroid, 1 tríptico de fotografias e 1 quadro mosaico de fotografias) e uma performance que surge do encontro da artista/passista Mery Horta com a dupla de artistas Amador e Jr. Segurança Patrimonial Ltda. O trabalho toma partido da ideia estereotipada intelectualmente de objetificação do corpo feminino que difere dos saberes populares, principalmente em relação à “mulata show” de escola de samba; e da relação com o que é considerada obra de arte, como o modo de ser preservada e guardada por seguranças em um museu ou galeria.

Show Abre Alas consists of a work composed by an installation with 5 items (2 plaques, 1 polaroid camera, 1 triptych of photographs and 1 mosaic of photographs) and a performance that arises from the meeting of the artist/dancer Mery Horta with the artist duo Amador e Jr. Segurança Patrimonial Ltda. The work is based on the intellectual stereotyped idea of the objectification of the female body that differs from popular knowledge, especially in relation to the "mulata show" of a samba school; and the relationship with what is considered a work of art, and the way it is preserved and guarded by security guards in a museum or gallery.
