Todos os vídeos chegam a partir de algoritmos que personalizam o conteúdo de acordo com as preferências de cada usuário. Vendo estes vídeos, faço capturas da tela e trabalho a partir das imagens geradas. As telas de pequeno formato são preparadas previamente com gesso preto e laca brilhante. O resultado é uma superfície preta impermeável e reflexiva, fazendo alusão ao “black mirror” (espelho preto) das telas quando estão desligadas. Os títulos se referem aos vídeos dos quais as imagens foram retiradas e fazem parte dos trabalhos.

The works in the series odeioestrogonofe (the profile I use on Tiktok) are made from images taken from this social network for videos app. All the videos come from algorithms that personalize the content according to the preferences of each user. Watching these videos, I take screenshots and work from the images generated. The small format canvases are prepared in advance with black plaster and glossy lacquer. The result is a waterproof and reflective black surface, alluding to the "black mirror" of screens when they are switched off. The titles refer to the videos from which the images were taken and are part of the works.
