A obra Joobie Woobie foi originalmente criada por Adriana Varejão para a exposição “Infantil”, coletiva que inaugurou A Gentil Carioca em 2003. Para os vinte anos da Gentil, a artista decidiu remontar essa obra. Construída com jujubas, Joobie Woobie é uma paródia do icônico quadro Broadway Boogie Woogie, do artista holandês Piet Mondrian.
The work Joobie Woobie was originally created by Adriana Varejão for the exhibition “Infantil”, a group exhibition that opened A Gentil Carioca in 2003. For Gentil's 20th anniversary, the artist decided to reassemble this work. Constructed from jelly beans, Joobie Woobie is a parody of the iconic Broadway painting Boogie Woogie by Dutch artist Piet Mondrian.
