A série Visões Serpentinas é composta por desenhos e anotações feitas durante o ciclo de leitura do livro 'A serpente cósmica, o DNA a origem do saber', de Jeremy Narby. O ciclo aconteceu entre fevereiro e março de 2021 e foi conduzido pelo neurocientista Eduardo Schenberg com a participação de Leopardo YawaBane Huni Kuin, Christopher Timmerman, Alyne Costa e Jeremy Narby. O autor parte da investigação dos saberes despertados através da ayahuasca para relacionar o xamanismo, a simbologia da serpente e a ciência biológica do DNA no processo de origem da vida. Tudo aquilo que a racionalidade humana não é capaz de desvendar, deveria ser contemplado como um mistério. Constantemente presente na obra de Cabelo, a serpente é um símbolo associado aos mitos de origem de diversas culturas do mundo, capaz de representar a regeneração, a fertilidade, a imortalidade e a totalidade da existência.


The Visões Serpentinas series is composed of drawings and notes made during the lecture cycle of the book ‘The Cosmic Serpent: DNA and the Origins of Knowledge’, by Jeremy Narby. The cycle took place between February and March 2021 and was conducted by neuroscientist Eduardo Schenberg with the participation of Leopardo YawaBane Huni Kuin, Christopher Timmerman, Alyne Costa and Jeremy Narby. The author starts from the investigation of knowledge awakened through ayahuasca to relate the connections between shamanism, serpent symbolism and the biological science of DNA in the process of the origin of life. Everything that human rationality is unable to unravel should be seen as a mystery. Constantly present in Cabelo´s work, the serpent is a symbol associated to the myths of origin of different cultures around the world, capable of representing regeneration, fertility, immortality, and the totality of existence.
