No dia 15 de agosto, A Gentil Carioca inaugurou a 36a PAREDE GENTIL água de beber do coletivo água de beber em parceria com o Mais Amor Menos Capital, Taboa Engenharia, e o Gentil Apoio da 342 Artes. Trata-se de uma união histórica entre coletivos engajados com o movimento social e pela luta por direitos humanos, integrados a uma rede de artistas para realização desta edição da Parede Gentil.

A pandemia de COVID-19 trouxe muitos desafios, dentre eles o aumento do número de pessoas em situação de rua. Frente às recomendações de saúdee higiene da Organização Mundial de Saúde - OMS e do Ministério da Saúde, essas pessoas dificilmente têm acesso à agua potável para consumir ou lavar as mãos, precaução básica para a não contaminação com o novo coronavírus.

Movidos por esse fato, o coletivo água de beber idealizou uma ação pública para o fornecimento água potável, tendo o objetivo facilitar seu acesso, em especial às pessoas em situação de rua. O projeto viabilizará o fornecimento de 500 litros de água potável, por dia, durante um período de tres meses, através da instalação de bebedouros na parede externa da galeria A Gentil Carioca, situada na Rua Gonçalves Ledo, 17, Centro, Rio de Janeiro.

Unindo a arte e a luta por direitos, é o primeiro projeto realizado pelo coletivo água de beber, que pretende implementar outras fontes de água potável pela cidade e pelo país.

On August 15, A Gentil Carioca is pleased to open the 36th GENTLE WALL água de beber by the collective água de beber in partnership with Mais Amor Menos Capital, Taboa Engenharia, and the Gentil support of 342 Artes. It is a historic union between collectives engaged with the social movement and the fight for human rights, integrated with a network of artists to carry out this edition of Parede Gentil.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought many challenges, including the increase in the number of homeless people. Faced with the recommendations of health and hygiene of the World Health Organization (WHO and the Ministry of Health), these people hardly have access to drinking water to consume or wash their hands, a basic precaution to avoid contamination with the new coronavirus.

Driven by this fact, the collective água de beber conceived a public action for the supply of drinking water, with the purpose of facilitating its access, especially to people on the street situation. The project will supply 500 liters of drinking water per day for a period of three months, through the installation of drinking fountains on the external wall of A Gentil Carioca gallery, located at Rua Gonçalves Ledo, 17, Centro, Rio de Janeiro.
