According to curator Aldones Nino, in the work "Fogueira Doce", we see the persistence of an attempt to touch dreams, pulling desire from the bosom of the earth where a power of life emanates that goes beyond the restrictions between now, yesterday and the tomorrow. Art, even in the midst of dismantling, is perhaps still the best way to break with the logic that keeps dreams at the borders of imagination. To propose re-enchantment is to retake invisible worlds that cohabit our time, collectively dreaming of the full fruition of a life not submerged in the practices of accumulation. Marcela Cantuária's work highlights the fantasy that blends with history based on a voracious appetite for understanding culture and politics, thus manipulating aesthetics like a talisman. To propose re-enchantment is to promote the resumption of what has been denied us over the last few centuries, because where bonfires can no longer burn, perpetual success comes true like the prophecy that becomes body.
