A série de monotipias Gaze, fala da materialidade dessa pele, das marcas e ritmos na sua superfície, da relação entre fragilidade e força, entre sua característica mole, orgânica, aberta e a sua estrutura em grid que persiste em se manter.


The functionality of a gauze as a material that protects the skin while it is injured makes me think of it as a temporary caring skin, a second skin that can extend and continue in the world, as an index or metaphor of the body. The series of monotypes “Gaze” talks about the materiality of this skin, the marks and rhythms on its surface, the relationship between fragility and strength, between its soft, organic, open characteristic and its persistent grid structure.
