A partir de um processo contínuo de trabalho, a série cresce pouco a pouco com as pinturas que Arjan faz dos rostos negros de pessoas vítimas do Estado racista. A voz, o corpo e a vida de afrodescendentes violentados são mote para o desenvolvimento conceitual do trabalho de Martins. Suas telas são distintos pedidos de trégua. O artista aborda os escaneamentos faciais feitos pelos sistemas de vigilância da contemporaneidade e assim fricciona as desigualdades de classe. Com traços sublimes as pinturas do artista tratam de expor os rostos negros em suas resistências.
From an ongoing process of work, the serie grows little by little with Arjan's paintings of the black faces of people who are victims of the racist state. The violated African voices, bodies and life are motto for the conceptual development of Martins' work. His canvases are distinct requests for truce. The artist addresses the facial scans made by contemporary surveillance systems and question class inequalities. With sublime traces the artist's paintings attempt to expose the black faces in their resistances.
