Inspirada pelo icônico mictório de Marcel Duchamp, que revolucionou a arte ao deslocar objetos do seu contexto original para um novo cenário expositivo, esta obra subverte a função cotidiana de um objeto ordinário, revelando as outras camadas de significado que ele pode carregar.

A duchinha, presente em muitos lares, é aqui apresentada não apenas como um item de higiene, mas também como um símbolo de descoberta e repressão da sexualidade feminina. Muitas mulheres lembram com carinho desse objeto que permitiu momentos de autodescoberta, contrastando com as restrições sociais que reprimem e silenciam a sexualidade feminina desde cedo.

Ao expor esse objeto em um contexto artístico, a obra Fonte / Primeiro Amor propõe uma reflexão sobre as múltiplas utilidades atribuídas a um mesmo objeto, questionando as normas sociais e tabus em torno do prazer feminino. Em sua simplicidade, a instalação convida o espectador a observar os contrastes entre o que é visível e o que é escondido, entre o funcional e o subversivo, trazendo à tona discussões sobre liberdade, repressão e a naturalidade da exploração do próprio corpo.

[“The work consists of a hygienic shower affixed to the section of a tiled wall, referring to the typical environment of a domestic bathroom. Inspired by Marcel Duchamp's iconic urinal, which revolutionized art by moving objects from their original context to a new exhibition setting, this work subverts the everyday function of an ordinary object, revealing the other layers of meaning it can carry.

The douche, present in many homes, is presented here not only as a hygiene item, but also as a symbol of the discovery and repression of female sexuality. Many women fondly remember this object that allowed moments of self-discovery, contrasting with the social restrictions that repress and silence female sexuality from an early age.

By exposing this object in an artistic context, Fonte / Primeiro Amor proposes a reflection on the multiple uses attributed to the same object, questioning the social norms and taboos surrounding female pleasure. In its simplicity, the installation invites the viewer to observe the contrasts between what is visible and what is hidden, between the functional and the subversive, bringing up discussions about freedom, repression and the naturalness of exploring one's own body.
