Nova Imunidade Sabathes, faz parte da série de desenhos produzidos para a exposição Febre Amarela, onde a artista, propunha uma nova relação ambiental com os mosquitos , que foi pivô das maiores epidemias do Brasil ao longo de toda sua história – a febre amarela, a dengue, a zika –, está de novo no centro das angústias, medos, crises urbanas e ambientais, seja como um resultado inevitável do desflorestamento ou como forma de vida quase inquestionável das grandes cidades brasileiras.

Porém, em Febre Amarela o brasileiro é uma nova cultura que venceu o medo dos mosquitos – a começar por seu incômodo som, superou as doenças e aprendeu a lidar com estes insetos em um novo mundo tomado por eles, desenvolvendo uma nova imunidade.

Nova Imunidade Sabethes, is part of a series of drawings produced for the exhibition Febre Amarela (Yellow Fever), where the artist proposed a new environmental relationship with mosquitoes, which was the pivot of the greatest epidemics in Brazil throughout its history - yellow fever, dengue, zika - is once again at the center of anguish, fears, urban and environmental crises, either as an inevitable result of deforestation or as an almost unquestionable way of life in large Brazilian cities.
