"During the development of the Oráculo Urutu series (2019–2021), Cantuária expanded her research on narratives evoked through the figures of Pamela Colman Smith (1878–1951) and Marguerite Frieda Harris (1877–1962), artists who presented important images of the kingdom invisible through the ordering of symbols, which can be channeled into divination processes via cartomancy. Oráculo Urutu presents a dreamlike universe in which cinema, soap operas, music and literature underlie a base of color and form, revealing struggles for emancipation linked to growing insurrection movements against the colonial imaginary, which persists embedded in the structures of modern societies and institutions. This procedure includes citations to works by Clarice Lispector, Conceição Evaristo, Glauber Rocha, Gilberto Gil, Guimarães Rosa, João do Vale, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Linn da Quebrada, among many others."
