Em “The Call of the Wild / Yawareté tapuya”, Baniwa retrata um mundo em que todos os seres humanos são onças. Os híbridos seres humano-onças convivem em relações de poder e sexo com outros humanos e onças, gerando assim seu clã. Este trabalho conta a história desta gente-onça.
In “The Call of the Wild / Yawareté tapuya”, Baniwa portrays a world in which all human beings are jaguars. Human-jaguar hybrids live in power and sex relationships with other humans and jaguars, thus generating their clan. This work tells the story of these jaguar people.
