"Padrão sobre corpo, 2020 é uma série de fotografias que faz parte do Projeto {A}grade verão, onde inicialmente convido mulheres a fazer a tradicional marquinha de fita isolante. Este movimento é muito comum entre mulheres de favela e subúrbios que tem como pioneira da técnica nas lajes do Rio de Janeiro, Érika Bronze e seu maravilhoso Império bronze.

Neste trabalho utilizo o padrão das grades, que costumo usar em minhas pinturas, em qualquer lugar do corpo, não somente nos peitos, bundas, etc. Proponho reflexões sobre o corpo feminino e as cobranças estéticas que lhe afetam, as exigências de perfeição e suas reações. Hoje, em 2020, o Brasil é o país que realiza mais cirurgias plásticas no mundo, um dado que revela a eficácia desta pressão sobre nossas corpas." - Agrade Camiz

[‘Padrão sobre corpo’ (‘Pattern over body’, 2020) is a series of photographs that are part of the {A}grade verão ({A}grade summer) project, in which I first invited women to participate in traditional masking tape tanning. This is a very common movement among women from the favelas and suburbs, and was pioneered on the Rio de Janeiro concrete rooftops by Érika Bronze and her wonderful tanning empire.

In this work I use the grid pattern, which I usually use in my paintings, on any part of the body, not only on breasts, butts, etc. I propose to reflect on the female body and the aesthetic pressures placed upon it, the demand for perfection and its reactions. Today, in 2020, Brazil is the country where the highest number of plastic surgery procedures in the world is performed, a statistical fact that reveals the effectiveness of the pressure exerted on our bodies." - Agrade Camiz]
