RODRIGO TORRES, b. Rio de Janeiro (1981). Lives and works in Rio de Janeiro.
The artist presents altered photographs through painting, cutting, collage and ceramics creating a symbiosis of languages. The artist that in the sense of a reference is most poignant to his work is Gerhard Richter. Graduated in Painting by the School of Fine Arts of UFRJ in 2005. Rodrigo concluded the In Depth Studies course at the School of Visual Arts of Parque Lage in 2010. From 2006 to 2010 was artist Luiz Zebrini’s assistant.
