MARIA LAET’s work is done primarily through photography, with no use of color, always taking advantage of the gray scale. Her poetry lingers, with emphasis on the line dermarca limits, splits and, paradoxically, also binds – the line as a border. It may be noted with great clarity, subtlety and softness in her images the situations addressed by the artist.
BA in Design at PUC-RJ and MA from Camberwell College of Arts, London UK. She attended residency at Schloß Balmoral in 2009.
